A Healthy View on Men

PUBLISHED July 23, 2012

There was a time, long long ago, that I was single. I can hardly imagine it now, being married with children and all, but I have plenty of journal entries to remind me. A few thing I must say for single ladies…

If you compare boys to, say, Pokemon cards, relationships are a lot easier to deal with. Collect them until you have a powerful set. There’s nothing wrong with having your “Hey wanna watch Seinfeld re-runs” dude and you’re “shit, I’m drunk and stranded…” dude with the car. There will always be the “I’d love to be with your more than anything” dude who is great for your self-esteem. He can be balanced out with the “you are sweet to me over text but ignore me at parties” dude who you know you shouldn’t like but since when did you care?

My point is that the stereotype about girls getting ‘clingy’ quickly is partially true. In the words HBO Girl’s leading lady Hannah… “I don’t even want a boyfriend… I just want someone who wants to hang out all the time and thinks I’m best person in the world and wants to have sex with only me.”

And the best way to keep your casual dating life casual is to stock up.

Because men can truly drive you crazy.
